Synopsis on Goodreads
Magic is dangerous — but love is more dangerous still
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London’s Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Friendless and hunted, Tessa seeks refuge with the Shadowhunters, a band of warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons. Drawn ever deeper into their world, she finds herself fascinated by — and torn between — two best friends and quickly realizes that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.

I just want to start this review off by saying that I have missed the Shadow world, I haven’t delved into it since I read The Bane Chronicles in June 2016 so you could say it’s been a while, but I am glad to back in the world of Shadow Hunters and Downworlders.
I don’t want to spoil anything in this book so this review may be brief. We are introduced to Tessa Grey who is thrust into the Shadow world, but we are also introduced to a few names and characters that were mentioned/included in The Mortal Instruments series such as Will Herondale. I won’t lie that when he got mentioned in that series I was eager to learn more about him and I am glad that I’m finally learning about him. And my personal favourite warlock Magnus Bane.
I’ve given Clockwork Angel 5 stars as once again, Cassandra Clare has dazzled and drawn me into what is possibly one of my favorite bookverse. I cannot wait to dive into Clockwork Prince and get sucked up in the adventure of Tessa, Will and Jem….and maybe see if a love triangle will form between the three? Who knows. But I cannot wait to find out more
